The inaugural Patient Partners: Shared Futures Summit, sponsored by Novo Nordisk, brings together the patient organisation community that directly and indirectly advocates for people living with obesity, to support the work they do to improve healthcare decision-making.
The event will be made up of a series of interactive and educational sessions that facilitate an exchange of expertise and experience with partners in industry, policymaking, the media, the third sector, and regulators.
As a charity digital specialist, with experience working with medical and patient-focused charities, such as Maggies, The Brain Tumour Charity, Sight Research UK and Help for Heroes, Giant Digital have been invited to share their expertise. Joining the stage on 22 November will be Giant’s Managing Director, Vimal Patel.
His talk at the summit will cover the importance of understanding your audience, particularly when designing or developing your digital platform. User-experience plays such an important part in the success (or failure) of a website and keeping your users and their needs at the heart of your digital project is key.
With digital expertise gained from over 25 years in the sector, combined with his experience as a charity trustee, Vimal has a detailed understanding of the challenges faced by charities and is dedicated to finding effective digital solutions that deliver lasting positive change. Bringing digital innovation and understanding to the charity sector has always been a personal passion for Vimal, who has instigated a number of initiatives including thought leadership pieces, events and online communities to facilitate this.
Vimal will be sharing insights, tips for success and recommendations for those hoping to design or improve their charity’s digital platform.
