The crisis in Ukraine has had such a devastating impact on so many innocent people. People who have become refugees overnight, separated from loved ones, and fleeing from a country torn apart by war.
At Giant Digital, our mission and our passion has always been to use technology for good, and when we heard of the situation in the Ukraine, the whole team agreed that we should do what we can to support those in need.
When we heard that our friends at myAko were planning to take emergency supplies to the Polish border to directly help Ukrainian refugees, we offered our support by creating a dedicated donation platform to raise funds (fee free) and also offering our Hartley Wintney office as a collection hub, for anyone wanting to donate items needed by those supporting refugees.
myAko is a Hampshire based company delivering digital learning to clients in Health & Social Care, NHS, Schools (Primary and Secondary Schools), Charities, Transportation & Logistics.
Kevin Ashley, Founder of myAko said of the campaign;
“myAko has a strong history of supporting community projects across the UK and overseas. That’s why we passionately want to support the innocent people of Ukraine severely impacted by this terrible war. The myAko team are partnering with Giant Digital, and other companies across Hampshire and Dorset, with the aim of raising £10,000 to deliver emergency aid to Ukraine. Every penny raised will go in either aid or travel costs.”

MyAko are also seeking donations of any of the following
There are established drop off points in Hartley Wintney, Salisbury, Westbourne and Weymouth. Please call 01202 283283 to make a donation at any of these locations
All donations are very appreciated and the myAko team plan to travel to Ukraine as soon as there is sufficient aid and funds to make a positive difference.
“Kevin and his team at myAko are doing something that is truly admirable that will benefit so many refugees directly, and I know I speak on behalf of everyone at Giant Digital when I say we are extremely proud to be supporting them in whatever way we can. The bespoke donation platform we have built will hopefully help raise financial support, and our office will be used as a collection hub for any products being donated. We are of course also making our own donation to this much-needed cause and would encourage others to do what they can.”
